Fresh Fills
About This Spot
Stepping into Fresh Fills feels like slipping into a comfortable pause in the middle of a bustling day. Nestled conveniently next to the train station in Llandrindod Wells, this café hums with a gentle energy—a place where locals and travelers alike converge, finding a moment of ease and connection. The atmosphere moves at a welcoming, unhurried pace, inviting you to settle in whether you're on a quick stop or lingering over a relaxed breakfast.
The interior strikes a balance between spacious and cozy, with natural light filtering through and soft murmurs of conversation weaving between the clink of coffee cups. It’s the kind of spot where the rhythm of the day unfolds naturally—friendly smiles at the counter, the comforting aroma of freshly brewed espresso, and the quiet buzz of people sharing a simple meal or a warm drink.
Here, the food becomes part of the ritual rather than just sustenance. You might arrive craving something substantial like an all-day breakfast, or perhaps just a light sandwich paired with a perfectly pulled cappuccino. The kitchen’s attentiveness ensures each dish is freshly prepared to order, and the seasonal touches lend a homely, familiar quality to every plate. Accompanying this is the understated pleasure of slow moments — savoring a slice of Victoria sponge or the satisfaction of a robust espresso shared amongst new or old acquaintances.
Fresh Fills isn’t just a pit stop; it shapes itself around the people it serves. Whether it’s local council workers pausing during their day, families finding a cheerful nook with baby-changing facilities, or visitors seeking a friendly refuge, the staff’s genuine warmth and attentiveness quietly knit the space together. Cleanliness and attention to detail show, from spotless tables to reliable free WiFi, making it easy to linger and refuel at your own pace.
Ultimately, Fresh Fills gently captures the charm of a community café—rooted in its place, open to all, and offering a moment of calm with honest, well-made food and drink. Its appeal lies less in flash and more in sincere care, making every visit feel a little bit like coming home.

Staff friendly, food cooked to order and good value. Serves all day breakfast, baked potatoes, sandwiches and much more. A good atmosphere attracting a variety of people from tourists to the local council workers. Situated next door to the train station. Would definitely visit again

Stopped by today for the first time and the service was absolutely brilliant! Endless food and drink options - lovely & spacious, very reasonably priced and the staff really couldn't have been nicer! Spotlessly clean, free WiFi and toilets. Definitely recommend!

Excellent food, friendly staff, amazing service and great coffee. We felt welcome as soon as we walked through the door. Our food was ordered at the counter, we took our seats and our food was cooked and brought over very promptly. All staff had smiles for the customers and were wonderfully polite. The food was well cooked and tasty. Will definitely recommend to our guests and we will be going back ourselves.

Did a google search for coffee shops on our route between Narberth and Wigan. This place was a half way point and didn’t disappoint. Delicious fresh food. Lovely helpful staff. Baby changing and fun locals. Thanks for re-fuelling us!

A very warm welcome in a traditional cafe. Lovely food. Simple but well cooked and very tasty. There is something homely about ham, egg, chips and beans. Lovely Welsh brew tea in a tea pot with proper China cups and saucers. We had a lovely break on our long journey and will probably stop here on the way home too.
